SEPSHP has had a flurry of exciting educational activities during the Spring of 2017 under the leadership of president, Amanda Prusch, PharmD, BCPS and supporting leadership team, Joe DuPrey, MS, RPH (Secretary-Treasurer), Shailja Sharma, PharmD, BCPS (President-Elect), and Phu Duong, PharmD, MBA, BCPS-ID, AAHIVE (Chapter Representative to PSHP BOD).

In February, Jeffrey Kirchner, DO, AAHIVS, the medical director of the Comprehensive Care Medicine program affiliated with Lancaster General Health / Penn Health, gave a fantastic and very heated CE program on the "Clinical Controversies of HIV" in Hershey. This CE program was made free of charge for all who attended as it was sponsored by Simply Speaking HIV made possible by a grant from Gilead.

We were fortunate in March to be graced by Dr. Sarah Spinler from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, who shared with SEPSHP membership a CE program on "NOAC Update" in Mount Joy. Following Dr. Spinler's presentation, local cardiology expert, Dr. Kathy Makkar from Lancaster General Health shared a case presentation to further apply the knowledge from the NOAC update.

The Second Annual CE Round Table and Industry Night was hosted at Lancaster General Health in April. This was a successful event with amazing support from the pharmaceutical industry and SEPSHP had great turnout from the membership. The theme for the event was centered around medication safety. The speakers of the round tables represented Hershey, Lancaster (Drs. Amanda Prusch and Melissa Messick), and York. We look forward to this event every year as it is our main fundraiser to sustain programming for the upcoming year.

It has been a fantastic year for the chapter as we have had the most number of CE programming this year since its revitalization three years ago. As SEPSHP closes out the year, we look forward to the year-end event with the announcement of newly elected officers and the Resident of the Year Award.

As we celebrate another successful year, we would also like to celebrate the birth of baby girl, Reagan Elizabeth Prusch, 7 lb, 13 oz into the SEPSHP family. When our president, Amanda Prusch takes maternity leave, President-elect, Shailja Sharma will unofficially step into her new role as we plan ahead for another fantastic year! Many thanks to the SEPSHP membership for their support and to all the wonderful speakers who made our programming stellar during the past year.
