Meet Your Board - Mike Korczynski, PharmD, BCACP, WPSHP Board Member

Mike Korczynski, PharmD, BCACP, is currently the Manager of Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Services for Allegheny Health Network.  In this role he is responsible for service design and oversight of pharmacists in Primary Care, Chronic Care Specialty, MTM/340B, Autoimmunity, and Addiction Medicine clinics.  Prior to assuming this role, he was an embedded Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for 13 years with Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) Internal Medicine and the AGH Anticoagulation Service.  He also is the director of the Allegheny General Hospital PGY2 Ambulatory Pharmacy Residency Program.  Dr. Korczynski’s practice has focused on chronic disease state management and multidisciplinary team based care.  Prior to joining Allegheny Health Network in 2004 Dr. Korczynski was a clinical pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente.  Dr. Korczynski received his Pharm.D. degree from the Duquesne University and completed an ASHP accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency at The Veterans Affairs Pittsburgh Healthcare System.

Mike currently serves the Western Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists (WPSHP) chapter as a board member and is a member of the PSHP Ambulatory Care Task Force.  He is excited to be part of such an active, progressive organization and excited about the bright future of ambulatory pharmacy practice in Pennsylvania.
