PSHP Legislative Day – September 25, 2019

As follow-up to the President’s Letter from our September PSHP Newsletter, more than a dozen members of PSHP from various areas throughout Pennsylvania travelled to Harrisburg and met with several members of the State Senate, their Legislative Directors, and Office Directors.  Also supporting PSHP and in attendance for the entire day was the President and CEO of the Emily Jerry Foundation, Christopher S. Jerry. We shared PSHP’s views and direction on several pieces of legislation:

  •  HB770-Technician Registration Bill (supporting this legislation),
  •  SB675 – Buprenorphine Certification Bill (opposing this legislation as it would impact access for patients),
  •  SB869 – Fentanyl Dispensing Bill, with ED & paramedic use restrictions (opposing and offering to work with legislators on this bill), and
  •  HB945 – PBM Usage by Medical Assistance MCOs (PSHP believes needs clarifications).

We also took time to meet with the primary sponsor of the Technician Bill HB770 – Rep. Anthony DeLuca as pictured below, with his top Legislative and Office Directors.
