“There are countless reasons why I've chosen to join PSHP. The first thing that drew me in was numerous opportunities to network with pharmacists in the area and the career developing events. Not only do we work closely within the Temple chapter for the events but we also work with the other 2 schools in the area through DVSHP. Lastly, the dedication and camaraderie that the students of the organization have every year is very inspiring which pushes me to be a better student pharmacist.”
-Adeline Cruz, Temple University School of Pharmacy

I chose to become involved and to apply for leadership positions because I realized that PSHP had so much to offer for my personal professional development. As a PY3, I remain an active member and a leader because I know that it is an incredible association dedicated to enlightening people of what health system pharmacy entails. I've grown to become the student pharmacist that I am today with a desire to pursue hospital pharmacy through my experiences with PSHP. Also, I’ve had several wonderful opportunities to network with many pharmacists within our chapter as well as meet other students from the different pharmacy programs in our area through our DVSHP events. My involvement with PSHP has been extremely valuable and I hope to see more students take advantage of what PSHP has to offer!”
-Jullien Navizaga, Temple University School of Pharmacy
“I joined PSHP/SSHP because I was interested in learning more about health-system pharmacy. Once I joined, I found so many opportunities within this organization to develop my skills as a professional and a leader. Within PSHP, I have expanded my knowledge on different issues in clinical pharmacy, participated in many community outreach events, and networked with pharmacists in many areas of health-system pharmacy. I even became a member of ASHP on the national level because I wanted to become more involved. They have great resources for students, like the AJHP journal and student forums. To anyone considering a career in health-system pharmacy, this organization is a great place to start.”
-Veronika Colomy

“I joined PSHP with original intent of learning more about hospital pharmacy. Little did I know that health-system pharmacy was so much more! Being a part of PSHP has helped me develop an open mind in the options that health-system pharmacy has to offer and I have grown a lot from being involved. The monthly dinners are also pretty cool because some of the presentation are topics relevant to hospitals that allow me to understand operations better, since I work in a hospital.”
