The Mid-Eastern Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Health-System Pharmacists and Lehigh Valley Health Network Department of Pharmacy is proud to invite you to the Night of the Residents CE presentation on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.

PSHP Members: Free

All Residents and Preceptors, regardless of membership: Free

Non-Member Pharmacists: $25

2019 Night of the Residents

 

Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working in healthcare institutions.

Learning Objectives:

After completion of the activity, the learner should be able to: 

  1. Recognize that pharmacy residents complete research projects during their residencies at St. Luke’s University Health Network and Lehigh Valley Health Network.
  2. Review research projects being conducted by the pharmacy residents currently completing their pharmacy residencies at St. Luke’s University Health Network and Lehigh Valley Health Network.

  • Compliance to procalcitonin algorithms and patient outcomes in lower respiratory tract infections and sepsis: Impact of education without continuous antimicrobial stewardship feedback

  • Retrospective Analysis of Guideline Recommended Antiretroviral Regimens and Vaccination Schedules for Adult Patients with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in an Infectious Diseases Clinic

  • Characterization of antibiotic use for acute otitis media in pediatric physician practices

Accreditation and Credit Designation:

This activity provides 1.0 contact hours (0.1 CEUs) of continuing education credit for pharmacists and 1.0 contact hours (0.1 CEUs) of continuing education credit for pharmacy technicians. Method of Participation: There are no fees to participate in the activity. Pharmacists attending the full program and completing a program evaluation will earn 1 CEU.  Pharmacy Technicians attending the full program and completing a program evaluation will earn 1 CEU. Data will be updated to CPE Monitor within 4-6 weeks following the program for participants who complete this activity and submit required participant information including evaluation, NABP e-Profile ID and DOB.
